Day 1: Arrive in Lima late, transfer to Leon de Oro hotel. Sleep... precious sleep!
Day 2: Wake up early to get to the airport, flight to Cusco. Day of leisurely exploration of Cusco City. Overnight at Prisma Hotel.
Day 3: Train to Aguas Calientes station, then bus to Machu Picchu ruins. Overnight at Presidente Hostel. Wait, who agreed to staying in a hostel??
Day 4: Free day to enjoy Machu Picchu! Then take the train to Ollantaytambo. Then learn to pronounce Ollantaytambo. Overnight at Prisma Hotel.
Day 5: Pisac market, in the Sacred Valley, then visit the ancient Incan village of Ollantaytambo. Overnight at Prisma Hotel.
Day 6: Free day to see what trouble we can get into in Cusco! Overnight at Prisma Hotel.
Day 7: Six-hour bus ride from Cusco to Puno. Mental note, buy Dramamine. Overnight at Plaza Mayor Hotel.
Day 8: Float up Lake Titicaca to the floating islands of Uros. Then, on to the Handicraft Center on Taquile Island. Overnight at Plaza Mayor Hotel.
Day 9: Visit the ancient burial chambers, Sillustani Tombs, in the morning, then fly back to Lima.
Day 10: Free day in Lima to relax and unwind.
Day 11: Fly out to Iquitos, then take a 25-mile journey down the Amazon River to Ceiba Tops. Overnight at Ceiba Tops Luxury Lodge.
Day 12: Morning boat ride to the village of Yagua Indians, where they'll demonstrate the blowgun! Then on to the former Franciscan mission of Indiana.
Day 13: Morning walk through the rainforest. Then back to the airport, fly into Lima.
Day 14: Free day in Lima to recuperate, possibly involving a beach and some frosty cocktails.
Day 15: Last day in Lima, depart for USA at midnight.
